General Data Protection Regulations - GDPR

I am sure that you have all heard in the press and on line about the introduction of the GDPR legislation that is being introduced in next month. If you want to know what this is and its effect with regards to Scouting - please see information here on the HQ website

This does effect how we as Scouters hold information on both young people and adults in Scouting.

The use of tools such as OSM and the EG Info Centre helps in the process, but you need to consider the data you hold. 

In the last few weeks the Scout HQ has set out some guidelines and The GDPR toolkit for local scouting which is now available on line.

The District Committee team is looking at this and will communicate to you further as to assisting with this.
