East Grinstead District Scouts

Sussex 24 is an activity weekend that will give ALL Explorers the chance to try just about anything they want whilst having fun and socializing at the same time!

West Sussex Explorers have “arranged” the entire Broadstone Warren site and all of it’s activities for 24 hours on the 12th/13th of September 2009.

This event is simply not to be missed!!! Along with ALL the activities we have also arranged for a Big Top arena to be available so that we can have a party on the Saturday eve! Which we hope we include a live band or 2!.

Full details of the event are listed on the {website below} Please Please make sure that ALL Explorer age scouts are given the chance to attend this event, even if you can’t go as a full unit, we’d like every young person to have the opportunity to come… let us know if you have a couple and we’ll sort it out!
It’s also important to point out that those still attending scouts that are of explorer age also have the chance to attend.

As part of the sales pitch for this event, Graham West (County Explorer Leader) and I will be heading out and aiming to visit as many units as possible to spread the word personally… so we’ll be contacting you shortly to arrange a visit.

We hope you’ll all be as excited as we are about this event and I would ask ALL leaders to encourage young people to attend.

As always the event does need a certain number to make it viable…. We see no reason why we can’t smash that number out of the water!!

It’s also important for us to say, that any leaders wishing to help with the running of this event will be welcomed with open arms!!! Don’t hesitate to jump on the band wagon! And if anyone knows or has connections with real good local bands could they please shout!
