Hello (Again) From WS2008

By Nick Hills - District Webmaster

Thursday
Its a bright sunny thursday, quite the contrast to last nights spectacular weather.

The stage show was in full swing with the disco drawing a huge crowd despite the thunder and lightning in the distance. Then it hit WS2008. A torrential downpoor that thankfully lasted only a few minutes. Unfortunatly it was enough to cause the stage to end the evenings festivities, but it didn’t dampen anyones spirits with chants of “oggy-oggy-oggy”, and “aint no flys” echoing round the campsite.

The highlight of the day for us ‘city slickers’ has been watching the construction of ‘Tower Bridge’ which has been errected to cross the Puddle outside the internet cafe and press office, now known as ‘The River Thames’.

The construction team arrived with tools and materials for the project, and promply set up deck chairs and settled down to cups of tea before starting work on the project. Typical!
