Calling all Service Crew

By nickhills On Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

During May 15th-17th The South of England Showground in Ardingly plays host to the 2009 County Cub Camp dubbed Camp-A-Lot. As you may infer from the name the theme this year is the Knights of the Round Table.

As always these county camps require months of planning, and as the quest draws closer we are looking for adults to help with site services for the event in such matters as car parking, security, set up & take down.

Leaders, Parents, Explorers, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers. If you have something you would like to see on the website, please get in touch with webmaster{at}egscouts.org(.)uk and we’ll get them published for you.

Leaders, why not ask your young people to draw or write something for the website as an evening activity. You can either type, it up, scan it in, or you can use that old fashioned stuff you write on made from trees, and we’ll do the rest!

Hello (Again) From WS2008

By nickhills On Monday, August 4th, 2008

Its a bright sunny thursday, quite the contrast to last nights spectacular weather.

The stage show was in full swing with the disco drawing a huge crowd despite the thunder and lightning in the distance. Then it hit WS2008. A torrential downpoor that thankfully lasted only a few minutes. Unfortunatly it was enough to cause the stage to end the evenings festivities, but it didn’t dampen anyones spirits with chants of “oggy-oggy-oggy”, and “aint no flys” echoing round the campsite.
