Calling all Service Crew
By Nick Hills - District WebmasterDuring May 15th-17th The South of England Showground in Ardingly plays host to the 2009 County Cub Camp dubbed Camp-A-Lot. As you may infer from the name the theme this year is the Knights of the Round Table.
As always these county camps require months of planning, and as the quest draws closer we are looking for adults to help with site services for the event in such matters as car parking, security, set up & take down.
Costs:
To keep costs as low as possible for the particiepenats it was agreed that adults will pay a fee of £20 £10 to attend Camp-A-Lot. Included in your fee is a t-shirt and camp badges. Meals will be charged at an additional £2.50 per meal, but if you have a Pack on site, feel free to banquet with them, to save yourself some silver.
All adults will need a Valid, Recent (5year) Scout Association CRB. (If you need to apply for a CRB you will need to submit your application before the end of february to be returned in time for camp.)
If you would like to begin your training as a squire, and help make sure the medieval festivities run smoothly please get in touch with nick.hills{at}egscouts.org(.)uk who will start you on your quest.
